After years of painful surgery and hospital treatment, Poppy's Starlight Wish was to meet her hero, Scooby-Doo, at Warner Bros. Movie World on the Gold Coast, Queensland.
9-year-old Poppy is a super Scooby fan! While Scooby's not known for his bravery, Poppy is one brave little girl.
Poppy has endured years of surgery and her doctors say it’s a miracle she is alive. But Poppy is a spirited fighter and is a talkative, funny girl who loves swimming, movies and of course, her Scooby toys.
Poppy and her twin sister Harper were born minutes apart, but while Harper was a healthy baby, Poppy battled life-threatening illness due to a heart condition. It was nearly a year before Poppy came home from hospital.
We've been through some pretty horrible times, so the more happy memories we can have, the better. - Jade, Poppy's mum

School's important to twelve-year-old Nicholas. He knows just how much being sick can interrupt his learning, so his wish is for a laptop & headphones to help out with his work (and his favourite games, of course!).
When he was just a newborn, six-year-old Jackson was diagnosed with a serious illness. Since then, hospital visits have become a massive part of his life – his wish is to see pygmy hippos and gorillas at Taronga Zoo!

To find out how impactful a Starlight Wish can be for a sick child, take a look at Gabe's recent Starlight Wish Outback adventure.
To call Gabe adventurous would be an understatement! His Starlight Wish took him on a Crocodile-Dundee inspired Aussie outback adventure with crocs, more crocs and camels galore. Gabe was our 9000th Starlight Wish recipient who bravely battled Leukaemia.
Gabe dreamt about the Outback during his long stays in hospital and it's all thanks to supporters like you that he got to explore it - crocs and all!
Gabe's family's 10-day outback adventure took them to places made famous in the iconic movie, from Kakadu to Uluru. When Gabe wasn't riding a camel in the desert, he was steering riverboats, hand-feeding water buffalo and came face to face with more than one python. Gabe even had a baby crocodile named after him!
